CD89645 Rameau - Nais - Paris - 06 April 2011
This is a beautiful performance, and a beautiful recording. Thank you so much
for uploading it, it was not offered on Opercast in the US. A Favor tough; and
I am sure others feel the same:Â could we keep more of the applause,
especiazlly at the end of the opera....this is always so exciting and seems to
generate greazt response in Rmeau operas. In the US, we have people who clap
not at all, leap from their seats the minute the lights come up, and race tor
the doors. I feel ashamed for them. I clap as long as the curtain will stay
up for us, and it would be nice to have more of this on the uploads. I notice
a trend lately in cutting this off. It would be nice to have it for all of us
to choose how long we want to record it, and so on. Thanks and apologies for
impolite audiences everywhere:
these people work very hard to bring you a stunning performance, and they should
be thaked.
